We’ve been a little quiet over here… but that usually means one thing.
We’ve been out living it.
This stretch of our Caribbean sailing route took us from Luperón in the Dominican Republic through Puerto Rico, the USVI, and the British Virgin Islands before landing in St. Martin. And looking back, it’s been one of those chapters you don’t forget.
After leaving Luperón, we made our way to Boquerón, Puerto Rico, where we stayed for a couple of days. It was the perfect place to land after the passage. Nothing fancy, just a chance to catch our breath, reset, and ease back into island time.
We picked up friends and kicked off what turned into a fun-filled two-week adventure through the British Virgin Islands. And honestly… it was a blast.

We made our way through some of our favorite spots. Leverick Bay, Saba Rock, Anegada, Marina Cay. Each stop had its own vibe, and it felt like one of those trips where everything just came together: good anchorages, great food, and a lot of laughs.
By the end of it, we were happily exhausted.
After our friends headed out, Rodney and I knew exactly what we needed next.
A reset.

We spent three incredible weeks along the coast of St. John, and it was everything we didn’t realize we were craving. We hiked, snorkeled, floated on our new floats for hours, and just slowed everything down.
No schedule. No rushing. Just enjoying where we were.
That’s when we really felt ourselves drop back into true cruiser mode again.

From there, we made our way to St. Martin, where we’ve now been for the past couple of weeks.
This island has been such a fun stop. The French side, especially, has completely won us over. Amazing food, good wine, and some of the best scenery around.
We rented a car one day and explored the island, which of course included a couple of very important stops. Budget Marine and Super U. And I have to say, Super U might officially be one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
We’ve also eaten out more than usual here, and every place has been worth it. Lunch at Lagoonies, breakfast at Croissant Royal, and a birthday lunch for Rodney at Be Kool. Not a bad way to celebrate.
Now we’ve shifted gears again.
We’re watching the weather closely and waiting for the right window to start making our way further south. The goal is to be in Grenada by June 1, so timing matters.
For now, we’re in that in-between space. Not quite moving yet, but getting ready.
And honestly, this whole stretch has been a good reminder of what this life really looks like.
The fun, high-energy weeks with friends.
The quiet reset after.
The days of planning, waiting, and watching the weather.
It’s not always picture perfect, but it’s real.
And it’s exactly why we chose this life
